Major Grades ( Tests & Projects)- 50%
Minor Grades ( Quizzes)- 40%
Homework & Classwork - 10%
The 100%- Students will only receive a grade of 100% only on assignments containing rubrics. The purpose of this is to encourage students to focus on the skills taught in class as well as their own learning. Exemplar Grades can be achieved when students master the skill.
Late Policy-A missing assignment slip is required for all assignments turned in after the due date. Late work assignments should be submitted within 5 days of the original assignment or prior to the unit assessment, whichever occurs first. Teachers understand “life” happens. Our hope is that with student reflection, we build ownership and responsibility.
Homework and Classwork Grading-
Homework and Classwork will be graded using a new grading rubric. Students currently have grades using the check system. With much reflection, I have decided to switch over to a more fair grading system. Below you will find grading rubric.
